DRAMATHON FACT SHEET WHO Berkeley Rep Teen Council WHAT The Dramathon is a 24 hour play reading marathon. For those of you who joined the Teen Council to do theatre, this is definitely something you need to take a part in. You get to perform, meet other Theatre fanatics just like you and read fun new and old plays! This is what the Teen Council is about: kids getting together and enjoying theatre! WHERE Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, Nevo Education Center, 2025 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94704 WHEN Saturday, December 3–4, 2005, NOON—NOON WHY To raise money for our new performance space at the School of Theatre and have fun reading plays. HOW • Each participant must be sponsored for the Dramathon. This means each attendee must get people to sponsor the Teen Council for the 24 hours of uninterrupted staged play readings. People can sponsor a certain amount of money per hour, or they can donate a lump sum. Each participant should drop by the School of Theatre and/or come to the meetings that the Teen Council holds to get a form. Download a free Adobe Acrobat reader.). • Bring the completed forms to the Dramathon on December 3. • Show up at the Dramathon prepared to have fun reading and performing plays with the Teen Council! • All payments are due by December 12, 2004. Checks should be made out to Berkeley Repertory Theatre and may be mailed to: The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, Nevo Education Center, 2025 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94704. IMPORTANT INFORMATION • For safety reasons, no one is allowed to leave the Dramathon between MIDNIGHT and 7AM and the front doors will remain locked during that time • Everyone has to stay for a minimum of five hours • Everyone will take turns performing staged readings of pre-picked plays • Everyone needs to bring a food dish that will feed 10 people, however dinner will be provided • All participants need to be fundraising ATTENTION PARENTS • This event will be chaperoned by Berkeley Rep Staff at all times. • No student may leave the facility between MIDNIGHT and 7AM QUESTIONS?
