BERKELEY REP’S BACKSTAGE BASH A SMASHING SUCCESS The Roda Theatre was magical on Saturday, January 21, 2006 as over 200 Berkeley Repertory Theatre supporters celebrated the Theatre at Berkeley Rep’s first annual Backstage Bash, raising over $20,000 to support the Theatre’s mission to set a national standard for ambitious programming, engagement of its audiences and leadership within the community. Guests dined on stage with their favorite artists, among them were Rita Moreno, Barbara Oliver, Les Waters, James Carpenter and Sharon Lockwood. The dinner was followed by lively bidding at the silent auction, with packages from local favorites such as the Claremont Resort & Spa, Cafe Rouge, the Lawrence Hall of Science and a private dinner for four at the Berkeley Fire Station. Revelers capped off the night by dancing on the stage to the sounds of the Dick Bright Orchestra. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening so special.
