The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre offers free training workshops for teachers throughout the year which deepen teachers’ understanding of theatre as an art form and its application to classroom activities. Sample topics include Improv, Shakespeare, Stage Combat and Alternatives to Staging a Full Production, as well as explanations of the productions onstage. These workshops expose teachers to new techniques, materials and perspectives, while giving them the chance to benefit from dialogue with colleagues.
We provide free theatre arts workshops for teachers. Our Outreach Coordinator will come to your school during a teacher “in service” day or after school to provide these trainings.

Additionally, we can alter the workshop curriculum to meet the needs of your school. Remember these workshops are free to public schools.
