Friday, February 10, 2012: A Doctor in Spite of Himself
(RSVP deadline: Wednesday, February 8)

  • Written by Molière / Adapted by Christopher Bayes and Steven Epp / Directed by Christopher Bayes
  • Molière’s classic comedy comes to uproarious new life in a clever and contemporary adaptation from one of Berkeley Rep’s favorite artists. Steven Epp delighted audiences as Figaro and The Miser—now he’s back with A Doctor in Spite of Himself. The traditional story of a girl feigning illness to avoid an unwanted wedding erupts into hilarity when Epp decides to play doctor. In a pitch-perfect production punctuated with live music, this ridiculous physician proves that love and laughter remain life’s best medicine.

The event begins at 6:30pm at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, 2071 Addison Street, one block from the downtown Berkeley BART station.

The cost for the evening is only $10, and includes dinner, an interview with a member of the creative team and a ticket to the show . This can be paid by check or with cash at the door. Even if you choose to pay with cash at the event, you must RSVP to have a ticket held in your name.

Teen Council invites all interested high school students currently enrolled in grades 9–12 to participate in Teen Night.
