2009–10 season > Fireworks—David Sedaris
You know him from his bestselling books such as Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked and When You Are Englufed in Flames. Or maybe you know him from his hilarious radio commentary on This American Life. How ever you know him, chances are good that David Sedaris has made you laugh.
And now he’s coming to Berkeley Rep’s Thrust Stage for An Evening with David Sedaris, running June 14 through June 20.
One of the funniest, most incisive men in America, David will read from his upcoming, as-yet-untitled book, answer audience questions and sign copies of his books (all of which will be available in the lobby by arrangement with Books, Inc.).
Tickets are $35 (half-price for anyone under 30 years of age).
All performances are sold out!
“Sedaris’s droll assessment of the mundane and the eccentrics who inhabit the world’s crevices make him one of the greatest humorists writing today.”—Chicago Tribune
“Sedaris ain’t the preeminent humorist of his generation by accident.”—Entertainment Weekly
“He’s smart, he’s caustic, he’s mordant, and, somehow, he’s…well, nice. Sedaris has hit upon the narrative equivalent of Pepsi, or the PlayStation, or oxygen, or the haircut: something that others in the world might actually want and find useful.”—Toronto Globe and Mail

David Sedaris is a hilarious writer and an even funnier speaker. Listen to and watch him at his best.
