Chicago’s legendary comedy theatre The Second City makes its first-ever Berkeley Rep appearance! The Second City’s Dysfunctional Holiday Revue delivers a stocking full of hilarious sketch comedy and their world-famous improvisation with a wicked seasonal slant. No timeless tradition is too sacred to skewer in this festive alternative to the same-old holiday fare! It’s a fast-paced, interactive comedy revue filled with style and wit—where even Rudolph is fair game.

Anneliese Toft · Director
Anneliese is a regular director for The Second City Theatricals. Recent projects include Fast, Loud & Funny currently running in the Up Comedy Club, The Second City’s collaboration with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and a two-year tenure as a Touring Company director. She also directs sketch comedy in venues all over Chicago including The Annoyance, Theater Wit, Stage 773, The Public House Theatre, and iO. Anneliese has also directed dozens of plays including the critically-acclaimed world premiere of Tammy: a Coming of Age Story About a Girl Who is Part T-Rex (now published by Playscripts, Inc).
Nick Gage · Music Director
Nick is thrilled to once more be working with The Second City. He’s worked with The Second City before as a Music Director aboard The NCL Star in the inglorious winter of ‘14. He’s also music directed several shows with Chicago’s internet sensation Team StarKid, including two successful runs at The Second City’s Up Comedy Club. Other credits include writing the music for Team StarKid’s 2012 internet musical, Holy Musical B@man!, and featured as an actor in 2013’s Twisted: Story of a Royal Vizier.
Bentley Hibbard · Stage Manager
Bentley is a native of Charleston, SC and current resident of Los Angeles. He began working for The Second City in Chicago and has stage managed Second City’s national touring companies RedCo & GreenCo, A History of Chicago, It’s Always Legal to Laugh, and numerous other productions. Additional stage management credits include work with iO Chicago, Stage 773, Theatre 99, and The Annoyance. He is also a writer, director, cinematographer, and musician with recent highlights including cinematography on the award-winning short film Embedded and the Chris Redd music video Anxiety.
Emily moved from Cincinnati to Chicago to study at The Second City and DePaul University and just returned from a year at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. She is a proud member of the cast of Burlesque is More at The Annoyance, plays guitar and piano for her two-person musical sketch group, Coffee Boy, and has traveled coast-to-coast with her two-woman improv troupe, Mr. Beaver. Big thanks to her mom for everything. Please stop overfeeding the cat.

Carley is thrilled to be touring with The Second City! A New Jersey native, she moved to Chicago after graduating from Vassar College to pursue comedy and waitressing. She performs with Meridian at iO Chicago and tweets kinda’ rarely @carleythemight. A huge thank you to her big and wonderful family for just about everything. Enjoy the show! Originally from Geneseo, IL, Scotty has been performing in and out of Chicago for the last nine years. He performs long-form improvisation with Sand (Newcity Chicago’s Best Improv Troupe, 2015) at Spitballin’ at Quenchers Saloon and with the Late 90s at iO. He also performs at The Annoyance in the Holy F*** Comedy Hour. In 2014 and 2016, Scotty worked with The Second City Theatricals on the NCL Pearl and NCL Dawn. He attended Western Illinois University in Macomb where he studied Theatre.
Ian is a stand-up comedian from Los Angeles. He graduated from Second City LA’s conservatory program. He is an alumnus of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. He toured with Second City’s Unelectable You. His Briggs Myer’s score is ENFP. Follow him on Instagram @Dang_yall_ or Twitter @feednseednmeth.
Jo is overjoyed to be a member of The Second City Touring Company. She also runs and performs in The Annoyance’s weekly sketch show, Holy F*** Comedy Hour, and plays regularly at iO Theater with Smokin’ Hot Dad, Tone and Virgin Daiquiri. Jo and her BFF & writing partner, Jeff Murdoch, have produced several Seriously Unprepared Presents comedy shorts and, most recently, wrote episode 3 of NYTVF’s first original series, The Jamz, which can be seen on Netflix. Dan Bazaldua (Swing)
Dan feels incredibly lucky to be working alongside an incredible cast. Born and raised in and around Chicago, he can be seen improvising around town with iO’s Trashdaddiez and the Morning Gents. Much love and thanks to the entire Baz fam, the Scott’s, Peanut and Becca Slack…and remember that tramps like us, baby we were born to run!
Lilliana Winkworth (Swing)
Lilliana is originally from Southern California and moved to Chicago after graduating from Emerson College with a BA in Performance & Playwriting. She has studied and performed at The Second City Training Center, iO Theater, Annoyance Theater, and CIC Theater. She plays with Scout (iO), the independent group Bug, and is one half of Todd’s Friend Todd, a writing team that produces original sketch comedy for the iO Comedy Network. She is also the co-producer of Girl Gang (iO) and extremely lactose-intolerant.
