The storefront theatre founded in 1968 by Cal grad student Michael Leibert has grown into a local institution with a national reputation for bold programming, adventurous choices and artistic excellence. Its exceptional arts education and outreach programs are a model for other theatres and communities and are enriching the lives of young people and inspiring future generations of theatre artists and leaders.
Members of the Michael Leibert Society are dedicated supporters who have included Berkeley Repertory Theatre in their estate plans. Society members share a vision to make great theatre their legacy.
