Why subscribe? New and enhanced benefits
You get the best seats for every play—guaranteed. You get the same seats in each theatre for the five Main Season plays and the very best available seats for our two Limited Season plays. You can keep your seats from season to season, and you’re first in line for improving them. Plus, you can upgrade your tickets once each season to a day or seat that’s more expensive—free.
You’re seated next. You get the same seats in each theatre, and you can keep your seats from season to season.
You get priority seating, before the general public. Your seats will vary from show to show and season to season.
Are you under 30? Are you at least 65? Are you employed in a pre-K–12 environment? You qualify for substantial discounts! Click here for more details.
The number one benefit of subscribing is that when you plan to see more theatre, you actually see more theatre. And there are other advantages, too.
Exchange your tickets for another performance—free! Exchanges are made on a seat-available basis for the same production only. When exchanging for a higher-priced performance, or if you request a more expensive seating section, you will be charged the difference in ticket price. Exchanges can be made online until midnight the day before your scheduled performance, and until 7pm the day before your performance by phone, fax or in person. NOTE: The box office is closed on Mondays.
Click here to exchange tickets online. You can make exchange requests as late as midnight before your scheduled performance.
Call 510 647–2949 by 7pm the day before your scheduled performance. Please have your tickets in hand when you call.
Bring your current tickets to the box office by 7pm the day before your scheduled performance.
Before 7pm the day before your scheduled performance, cut your tickets in half length-wise and photocopy them. Fax this copy to the box office at 510 647–2975 along with exchange instructions (please include three alternate dates), your name, address, credit card number and a phone number where we can reach you for confirmation.
Include your tickets, three alternate dates, a daytime phone, a credit card number with expiration date (to cover any upgrade charges) and a stamped self-addressed envelope. Address these materials to: Berkeley Repertory Theatre Box Office / 2025 Addison Street / Berkeley, CA 94704. Please allow at least ten working days for processing.
Need extra tickets for family, friends or business associates? You save $5 off the regular single-ticket price when buying extra tickets to subscription shows. Plus, you pay no service charges. And you can exchange these tickets as needed. Your subscriber discount is only available by phone. Call 510 647–2949 between noon and 7pm Tuesday–Sunday.
Everyone’s got an entourage! Send your entourage of 10 or more people to Berkeley Rep. They can come as a group to a single performance, or individually to a range of performances. We create the custom e-vite—you just hit send. It’s that easy. Call 510 647–2918 for details.
If you like, send us your tickets and we’ll store them at the Theatre after you’ve recorded the dates. That way, they’ll never get lost, and if you need to exchange your tickets to a different date, we’ll already have them!
If you ever lose your tickets, don’t panic! Just call the Box Office at 510 647–2949 up to one hour prior to your showtime. We’ll happily arrange replacement vouchers for your seats.
Berkeley Repertory Theatre is a professional not-for-profit organization. If at the last minute you are unable to attend your performance, you may donate your tickets to Berkeley Rep by contacting the Box Office at least one hour prior to your showtime. The value of your donated tickets is tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by mail. Tickets cannot be replaced, donated or exchanged for past performances.
Performances begin promptly. Latecomers will be seated at the House Manager’s discretion, and may have to watch on a video monitor in the lobby until intermission. Patrons who leave the Roda Theatre during a performance may—at the sole discretion of the house manager—be re-seated during the performance, not in their same seats. Patrons who leave the Thrust Stage during a performance will not be re-seated during the performance, but can watch the performance on a video monitor in the lobby. This is a policy we must enforce without exceptions, due to the design of our theatres, and for the safety of our actors and audience members.
As a Berkeley Rep subscriber, you are eligible for discounts at several fine restaurants in Berkeley. Simply present your subscriber ticket and subscriber ID card before ordering, and the restaurant will apply the discount immediately. These discounts only apply for subscribers in your party (the number of seats you purchased in your package); discounts are not applicable for alcohol and gratuity.
